Default Idea:Collector that gives Signets of Capture

Going for the Skill Hunter track can get really, really, really expensive. I have reach the first tier in order to display the Title but as I am not extremely well off I find it rather difficult to continue on to reach the second tier.

Since there are collectors all over the place and seldom offer what I need, I thought it would be cool if they also offered to trade you for a Sig Cap as your reward for finding their items.

Or, we could trade Trade contracts, Luxon totems, and other items of this type in order to get a Signet of Capture. Heck, if they will trade a Superior Salvage kit that usually goes for 2k, I think they could afford to trade us a Sig Cap that goes for 1K

I think it would be rather simple to implement this and wouldn't hurt the balance of the game much would it?

The other money titles are much more expensive than the skill title.
Titles should take some effort to get...

Agreed with Avatara. I've blown roughly 256K on skill caps, I am just glad this title isn't as pricey as some of the others, plus I like the reward from it. I don't think in comparison it's too expensive, I have to say it's just right. Although I have to agree 1K per skill point is annoying some times.

Well this is sorta straying from the topic and I know this has been said before in one form or another, but another direct way of using collectors would be for skill tokens. Since skills are more expensive since the release of Factions, it would be nice to have collectors offer more than just weapons and stuff.

On a side note, do you guys think the Luxon and Kurzick faction trader things should also have something like this? During the FPE,I remember A.net saying that Jade and Amber were the only things that could be traded in at the time, which had me assume that other things would be available when Factions really did come out. Maybe I just misread something

Why not just have an end-game collector who is also a skill trainer? He could be in the end game area of each chapter, and offer skills (including cap sig) in exchange for some high level drop. That way you'd need to beat the game to get the skills, and it would still take some effort.

Just a thought.

Sometimes I wonder if people just post stuff to start flame wars or what.

I dont see how trading in 5 battle commendations makes Skill Hunter any less prestigious. Collectable drops for a cap sig is pushing it, but quest rewards like commendations, etc. have limited uses already. To say it makes it too easy for the elite hunters, means its also too easy for the Knowlege Hunters because they can trade for ID and Salvage kits.

It still leaves lots of effort to get a cap. Grind in quests for 3 hours to get 5 tokens, or farm for an hour to get 1k? Which is harder? Which is probably funner?
